Job Overview
As a Manager, International Accounting, you will be responsible for managing the execution of our daily international accounting operations, internal reporting initiatives, assisting with financial and statutory audits. This role will report to the Senior Manager, Accounting who resides in California.
This role will be on our accounting team which cares a great deal about each other and meeting the needs of Gainsight. We partner together, while holding each other accountable, do our part to keep the team on track toward our overarching objectives. In this role we are looking for someone who completes tasks when they say they will and on time and superb analytical skills. This role will partner across time zones. It will require agility in working norms, a strong desire to lean in and proactive communication.

Qualifications
What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting/Finance with 6+ years of experience, CPA is a plus.
• 
  Strong preference for candidates who have a combination of Big 4 public audit and industry experience.
• Currently in an Accounting Supervisor or Accounting Manager role.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and recent accounting trends.
• Knowledge or background with SasS business model preferred.
• Good understanding of accounting for foreign exchange
• Strong analytical skills and effective decision-making skills.
• Maintain an unquestioned level of integrity, confidentiality and quality.
• Skilled at working in a collaborative and fast-moving environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work closely with other departments and with staff at all levels of the organization.
• Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to meet critical deadlines.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• ERP experience required. Experience in Sage Intacct or NetSuite and FloQast is highly desired.
  

Responsibilities
What You’ll Do Here

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of general ledger activities in accordance with month, quarter and year-end reporting deadlines under US GAAP for the Company and its subsidiaries, including preparation and review of journal entries and reconciliations.
• Manage relationships with 3rd party accounting firms/consultants for the international subsidiaries.
• Maintain the reconciliation of intercompany accounts and payments.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and company policies and procedures. Work with accountants and/or consultants in international subsidiaries to standardize reconciliations and documentation.

Get Hired
• Prepare monthly flux analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts for management review.
• Proactively identify opportunities for improvement within the internal reporting process and close cycles and drive continuous improvement by building scalable, repeatable processes and policies.
• Collaborate with Accounting Leadership and other cross-functional teams to develop and maintain best class processes surrounding various aspects of the business cycle.
• Assist with system implementation projects.
• Assist with annual audit, including preparing internal and external audit schedules as needed and liaising with auditors.
• Take on additional accounting responsibilities and ad-hoc projects as the role advances and/or the company scales.
