About the role:
Gartner is looking for a well-rounded and motivated test engineer to join its agile, scrum-based Sales and Services technology team which is responsible for testing web, agentic and API applications and integrations to support its continuous delivery. You will contribute to maintenance and development of test automation frameworks and leverage AI tools for testing deliverables. This role requires technical skills and a collaborative approach in a fast-paced Agile environment

What you will do:

• Develop and maintain quality assurance plans, test data, procedures, and scripts. 

• Ability to execute functional testing along with an ability to identify opportunities for automation and create scripts. Design, build, and maintain effective test automation solutions which meet requirements and specifications. (Smoke, Functional, Regression, etc.)

• Leverage AI-driven tools and techniques to strengthen both manual and automated testing workflows — including AI-assisted test case generation, intelligent test execution, and automated result and support the validation of internally built AI agents

• Exposure to web technologies

• Ensure accurate and complete converges of designated test areas.

• Write effective manual/automated test scripts within the framework of approved testing tools using documented requirements and technical specifications provided by project team

• Provide test status, document defects and potential risks

• Effectively document defects using automated defect tracking software.

• Understand new product requirements and coordinate work across multiple project phases or complex assignments. 

• Demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to balance quality, timelines, and resource constraints to deliver high-quality products. 

What you will need :
Strong IT professional with 4-6 yrs of experience in testing applications via both manual and automated tests. The candidate should have strong qualitative and quantitative problem-solving skills along with high level of ownership and accountability.  Ability to work in a collaborative team environment with good interpersonal skills.

Must have: 

• 4-6 years’ experience in an IT or Business environment testing highly scalable applications with significant experience designing automation platforms and writing automated tests

• Proficiency in automating web applications across platforms using test automation tools and frameworks, including Selenium, TestNG, Playwright and/or Pytest test framework.

• Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Jmeter), including an ability to customize the code for load test creation.

• Well-versed in Java/Git Source control.

• Experience in writing SQL queries, procedures, and function.

• Knowledge of Salesforce platform and database validation using SOQL

• Hands on experience testing web services

• Strong exposure to AI-driven or agentic testing approaches leveraging multiple AI models

• Expertise in QA prompt engineering, including designing and optimizing prompts to effectively drive AI agents for test generation, execution, and validation

• Able to independently support projects and work with various stakeholders

What you are: 

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field required

• Excellent communication and prioritization skills.

• Able to work independently or within a team proactively in a fast-paced AGILE-SCRUM environment.

• Owns success – Takes responsibility for successful delivery of the solutions.

• Strong desire to improve upon their skills in software testing and technologies
