Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Investment Banker with deep expertise in originating, structuring, and executing complex transactions across the manufacturing, industrials, and logistics sectors in India. The role requires a strong deal-making background with demonstrated success in M&A, private equity fundraising, strategic advisory, structured finance, and cross-border transactions.
The ideal candidate brings a robust network across promoters, corporates, PE funds, strategic investors, and financial institutions, along with a strong understanding of sector dynamics, operational drivers, and capital market trends within industrial and infrastructure-linked businesses.
Key Responsibilities
# Deal Origination & Client Coverage
- Develop and maintain relationships with promoters, CXOs, institutional investors, private equity funds, sovereign funds, and strategic buyers.
- Identify and originate M&A, capital raising, restructuring, and strategic advisory opportunities in manufacturing, industrials, and logistics sectors.
- Build and manage a strong transaction pipeline across mid-market and large-cap opportunities.
- Advise clients on inorganic growth strategies, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
# Transaction Execution
- Lead end-to-end execution of transactions including:
- Buy-side and sell-side M&A
- Private equity and growth capital raises
- Structured financing transactions
- Strategic advisory mandates
- Cross-border transactions
- Coordinate due diligence, valuation, financial modelling, transaction documentation, negotiation, and closing processes.
- Work closely with legal advisors, consultants, lenders, auditors, and regulatory stakeholders.
# Sector Expertise
- Provide strategic insights on:
- Industrial manufacturing
- Auto & auto components
- Engineering and capital goods

- Supply chain and warehousing
- Logistics infrastructure
- Transportation and mobility
- Track sector trends, government policy, infrastructure investments, and industrial corridors impacting deal activity.
- Prepare industry intelligence, market positioning analysis, and investor materials.
# Leadership & Team Management
- Mentor associates and vice presidents on transaction execution and client management.
- Drive analytical rigor, quality control, and delivery excellence.
- Contribute to business development strategy and franchise expansion within sector verticals.
Required Qualifications
- MBA / PGDM from a Tier-1 institution such as Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, or equivalent global institution.
- CA, CFA, or additional finance qualifications preferred.
- 10-15+ years of relevant experience in:
- Investment banking
- Corporate finance advisory
- Boutique advisory firms
- Private equity transaction advisory
- Strong track record of closed deals in manufacturing, industrials, and logistics sectors.
- Demonstrated expertise in valuation methodologies, financial modelling, and transaction structuring.
