Workday Business Analyst

Work Locations: Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Kolkata, Delhi NCR(New Delhi / Gurgaon / Noida), Lucknow, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Indore, Nagpur, Ahmedabad.

About the Role

We are seeking a Workday Business Analyst with hands-on experience in Workday HCM or Workday Finance modules. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and the technical Workday team, ensuring optimal system performance, process alignment, and successful deployment of new functionalities.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to Workday modules (HCM / Financials).
• Translate business needs into functional specifications and design documents.
• Support configuration, testing (unit, UAT, regression), and deployment of Workday enhancements and integrations.
• 
  Analyze system issues and provide effective resolutions in collaboration with the Workday support or development team.
• Partner with global stakeholders to implement new Workday functionality and optimize existing business processes.
• Prepare reports and dashboards using Workday reporting tools.
• Assist with change management, user training, and process documentation.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Workday updates and releases, assessing their impact on business processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, HR, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on Workday HCM or Finance modules.
• Strong understanding of business processes in HR (Core HCM, Compensation, Recruiting, Absence, Talent, Payroll) or Finance (Accounting, Procurement, Expenses, Projects, Reporting).

• Hands-on experience with Workday configuration, reporting, and integrations.
• Experience in requirement gathering, process mapping, documentation, and UAT support.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Workday certification in HCM or Financials modules.
• Exposure to Workday Studio, BIRT, EIBs, or Core Connectors.
• Experience in Agile / Scrum environments.
• Ability to work with global teams across multiple time zones.
