Sub-Commander - ARFF GGIAL

To ensure the availability of ARFF resources at all times to meet required fire protection level as per the Airport category in compliance with Director General of Civil Aviation/International Civil Aviation Organization Guidelines. To take over the command & control of incident site and direct rescue & firefighting operations at the Airport to save life & property and restore normalcy for business continuity

Responsibilities

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

To be the in Charge of Satellite Fire Station and assist ARFF Watch Commander in the overall management and command of the watch.

100% compliance with DGCA/ICAO response standards

To ensure timely response of Fire appliances and crew stationed at Satellite Fire Station in order to achieve the response time and control time during aircraft emergencies at all times.

To  perform the role  of  Rescue Commander during the aircraft accidents/incidents i.e.to be the team leader of the rescue team and   to work unsupervised and make decisions when under pressure and during emergency situations involving aircraft emergencies.

100% readiness during emergencies and drills

To assume the command and control for effective management of the emergency situation involving airside buildings and other facilities in the airport till the arrival of State Fire Service and to support them in Fire Fighting Operation on their arrival.

• All GGIAL Functional Team like P&E, Airside Operations, Landside Operations, Terminal Operations, Security, AOCC, IT, HR, EHS & Sustainability, FMS, etc.

• Grade-I, Diploma in Aviation Fire or Graduate preferably with science from any recognized University.
• JFO Course or equivalent from any Aviation academy. Valid Heavy Transport Vehicle (HTV) Driving License
• Good knowledge in all ICAO Doc, DGCA CAR & NBC
• Good knowledge in Computer.
• Good communication/ presentation skills.

• Minimum 15 years’ experience out of which 4 years as crew commander in aviation firefighting at Airport.
• Should possess good communication skills to carry out Radio Telephony communication.
