We make markets in and clear client transactions on major stock, options and futures exchanges worldwide. Through our global sales force, we maintain relationships with our clients, receiving orders and distributing investment research, trading ideas, market information and analysis.
Data Analyst, Corporate Access
Role
Within the Global Banking and Markets Division, the Corporate Access team drives connectivity between our corporate clients and investing clients. The Data Analyst role will work closely with multiple groups across the division and Global investment Research to drive productivity, enhance reporting tools, drive insights and productivity of the corporate access product. The Data Analyst will assist in:
- Understanding and analyzing divisional business metrics
- Working with our Data Engineering and Data Analytics teams to enhance our reporting tools
- Partnering with teams to track progress toward departmental strategic initiatives
- Communicating directly with department-wide team members on client engagement priorities and initiatives
- Preparing presentations and summaries of client engagement trends for senior team leads
- Contributing to the Management team with other various day-to-day queries
- Background with strong coding skills using modern languages e.g. Java, Python, C++
- Minimum of 1-3 years relevant work experience in automation space using Python
- Strong understanding of python syntax, core concepts such as functions, loops, conditionals and error handling
- Familiarities with Python data structures such as lists, dictionaries, sets and tuples
- Experience with automation tools like Selenium, Request, Beautifulsoup, Pandas/Numpy
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with high attention to detail and data accuracy
- Strong communication (oral and written) and negotiation skills
- Good business judgment, the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to problem solve and logically resolve complex issues
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Advanced Excel skills required; VBA/Macro/SAS/Python experience a plus
- Analytical; comfortable working with large sets of data
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and decision making skills, with high attention to detail and data accuracy
- Very well-organized
- Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks
- Strong documentation, presentation and verbal/written communication skills
- Self-starter and personal initiative
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on delivery and excellence
- Quick learner who can thrive working as part of a global team and individually
- Good business judgment, the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to problem solve and logically resolve complex issues
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
