Job Description
Graviton is a privately funded leading quantitative trading firm striving for excellence in financial markets research. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finance Associate to join our finance team. Graviton trades across a multitude of asset classes and trading venues using a gamut of concepts and techniques ranging from time series analysis, filtering, classification, stochastic models, pattern recognition to statistical inference analyzing terabytes of data to come up with ideas to identify pricing anomalies in financial markets.
As a Finance Associate, you will be responsible for managing and improving the process of calculating financial metrics for strategies trading in various segments and markets. Your primary focus will be understanding trading nature, cost calculations, resolving breaks in trades and positions, and ensuring accurate P&L calculations for the trading strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Gain a deep understanding of the trading nature, P&L and cost calculations of various segments and markets.
- Help tech team to integrate the new segments and markets in the existing environment of automated reconciliation processes
- Design excel formulas to solve the complex calculations of cost, P&L and risk margin
- Analyze and resolve the breaks in trades and positions communicated by the automated reconciliation processes or support staff.
- Continuously work with brokers to understand the various trading cost calculations and allocate costs appropriately between trading strategies.
- Prepare quarterly P&L statements for trading strategies and weekly funds statements.
- Take ownership of the reconciliation process, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Understand Risk Margin calculations for various segments and markets
- Demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant with a Minimum Score of 55% and No More than 2 Attempts
- Strong logical and analytical skills to understand the trading nature, P&L calculations, and cost calculations of various segments and markets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and resolving breaks.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work under pressure.
- Solid organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external brokers.
- Knowledge of financial markets and trading strategies is a plus.
