Decommissioning JV Accountant

Your new company

I’m currently assisting an independent Oil & Gas development and production company with operations based out of the UK and Malaysia, with their search for a Decommissioning JV Accountant to join their operations in Dubai.

Your new role

Working closely under the Finance Manager. This role holds responsibility for maintaining book of Accounts for the Joint Venture Assets / Licenses according to Joint Operating Agreements, Standard Oil Accounting Procedures and applicable standards.

Key responsibilities include, ensuring total compliance with JOA provisions, ensuring month – end closure processes are adhered to complete JV costs on Gross basis, preparing and issuing JV Billings, Reconciliation Statements, and preparation of monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this position, candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelors’ in Accounting and Finance related subjects, any additional certificates or degrees are an asset (ACCA, ACA, CIMA etc).

Candidate must haves:

• 5+ years’ Experience in working in a similar role / industry


• Experience in Sun6, Q&A and Maximo with strong MS Excel skills

  Get Hired
  Experience / Knowledge of Accounting principles, SOAPs, SORPs and Accounting under JOA provisions.


• Decommissioning experience


• Ability to meet deadlines and deliver results through planning, organising and persistence.
