Finance And Compliance Manager FPO

Job Summary:

A Finance and Compliance Manager for a Farmer Producer Organizations (FPO) oversees financial health, bookkeeping, and legal rules in closer coordination with the board and the staff of respective FPOs in Hand in Hand India.

Qualifications & Experience Requirement:

Education: BCom/MCom (Preference with Audit & Company secretory experiences)

Experience: Minimum 3+ Years in the field of FPO audits and compliances

Language Skills: English + Tamil (Speak/Read/Write)

Responsibilities:

• Financial Management & Bookkeeping: Oversee daily accounting operations including general ledgers, accounts payable and receivable, member transaction records, and bank reconciliations.
• Budgeting & Business Planning: Collaborate with the FPO Board, CEO and accountants to prepare annual operating budgets, commodity selection margins, working capital requirements, and cash flow forecasts.
• Statutory & Legal Compliance: Ensure adherence to local FPOs laws, company regulations, tax filings, and specific sector mandates (such as organic certification or internal control systems).
• Audit & Risk Management: Coordinate internal and external audits, manage financial risks, and resolve any compliance or audit gaps promptly.
• Grant & Fund Monitoring: Manage donor-specific funds, government subsidies, or CSR project finances with accurate utilization reporting.
• System Setup & Governance: Establish transparent MIS, procurement protocols, and inventory norms to strengthen FPO board governance and member trust.
