Job Description
- As a Component Testing Engineer at Hero Motocorp, your role will involve validating automobile electrical components at system, subsystem, or component level to ensure performance and ruggedness. You will be responsible for understanding various conditions that may arise during vehicle operation, converting those conditions into validation specifications, defining acceptance criteria, and conducting tests. In addition, you will need a good understanding of the electrical and electronic functions and features of two-wheelers.
Your day-to-day tasks will include validation of automotive electrical and electronic components for ICE vehicles, upgrading testing infrastructure, creating new test cases and manuals, preparing test reports, setting up tests according to electrical schematics and standards, ensuring regulatory compliance, analyzing test data, benchmarking, correlating testing and design parameters, and implementing VA/VE ideas to address warranty issues.
To qualify for this role, you should hold a BE/BTech degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering from a reputable institute. You must have experience in testing automotive electrical components, understanding electrical schematics/architecture, knowledge of automotive test standards and regulations, familiarity with test data management and analysis software, hands-on experience in accelerated tests, and maintenance of testing equipment.
In terms of behavioral skills, you are expected to have a dynamic and proactive work approach, be open to new approaches, demonstrate high flexibility, maintain unbiased and fair behavior, and take responsibility for the team when needed.
