Job Description
- The role of IT Strategy and Management Specialist involves developing IT strategies that are in line with the business agenda and working closely with vendors and senior management to identify information requirements and maintain service levels. Additionally, this role is responsible for managing IT expenditures and investments, addressing operational issues with clients, and representing relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment between IT and other entities.
In the realm of IT General Control Framework management, key duties include engaging with IT teams, Auditors & Legal as necessary, overseeing audit activities, establishing and nurturing relationships with various IT support teams, using business knowledge to enhance IT engagement, communicating IT decisions to support teams, and facilitating management responses from HP Global IT leadership.
Furthermore, in the domain of Management Reporting, responsibilities encompass developing standard reporting materials, presentation assets, profitability analysis reports, and KPI dashboards. The role involves representing the needs and accomplishments of the current function to IT leadership, actively participating in communications with support teams, and utilizing tools like MS Excel, Sharepoint, and Power Bi.
Regarding Project Management, tasks involve managing small team projects, creating detailed project plans, supporting team managers in project activities, conducting risk management, monitoring project performance, and reporting to management as necessary.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 4-6 years of related experience, or a master's degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Business experience in multiple sub-domains
- Relationship management skills
- Project management and process development skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Management Information Systems
- Relevant certifications such as CISA, CPA, CA, or MBA are advantageous
- 4+ years of IT Project Management Experience
- Familiarity with IT controls, financial risk assessment, and SOX controls
