Role & responsibilities

Credit Assessment & Underwriting

• Analyze financial statements, cash flows, ratios, and projections for prospective and existing borrowers.
• Conduct detailed credit due diligence for retail/MSME/corporate loan proposals (as applicable to your NBFC).
• Prepare credit appraisal notes and present cases to the credit committee for approval.
• Evaluate client creditworthiness using internal and external data sources.

2. Risk Management

• Identify, assess, and mitigate credit risks while ensuring adherence to internal policies and regulatory norms.
• Monitor early warning signals and support portfolio health management.
• Ensure compliance with RBI guidelines applicable to NBFCs.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Mandatory: Chartered Accountant (CA).
• Experience: 2 - 6 years in the NBFC/Banking sector in credit underwriting.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, ratio analysis, and business evaluation.
• Knowledge of RBI guidelines for NBFCs.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and credit assessment tools.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
