VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9.1 Migration Architect - Consultant
Location: United States (Remote/Hybrid)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced VCF 9.1 Migration Architect to lead enterprise-scale VMware modernization and migration programmes. The ideal candidate will provide architecture leadership for VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9.1 deployments, legacy VMware-to-VCF migrations, private cloud transformations, and hybrid cloud initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end VCF 9.1 architecture, design, and migration engagements.
- Perform infrastructure assessments, discovery workshops, and migration readiness reviews.
- Design VCF Management Domains, Workload Domains, NSX networking, vSAN storage, and lifecycle management solutions.
- Define migration strategies for:
- vSphere to VCF 9.1
- VVF to VCF
- Brownfield convergence
- Greenfield deployments
- Multi-vCenter consolidation
- Lead workload migration planning and execution utilizing HCX, Cross-vCenter vMotion, RAV, and other migration methodologies.
- Develop HLDs, LLDs, migration runbooks, governance plans, and executive presentations.
- Provide technical leadership to engineering, delivery, and customer teams.
- Conduct knowledge transfer and operational readiness workshops.

- 15+ years of infrastructure and virtualization experience.
- 8+ years of VMware architecture experience.
- 5+ years of VMware Cloud Foundation implementation and migration experience.
- Proven success leading large-scale migration programmes involving thousands of virtual machines and multi-site environments.
Preferred Certifications
- VMware VCAP / VCDX (Preferred)
- VMware Cloud Foundation Specialist
- Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- TOGAF, PMP, or ITIL
