Mission:
We are looking for a Project Accountant who will be responsible for tracking and analysing the financial health of projects, ensuring accurate accounting, and supporting project managers with utilization and staffing insights. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting knowledge, excellent Excel skills, and perfect English communication.
Key Responsibilities:

• Project Financial Management
• Monitor financial health of projects, including budget vs. actuals, % completion, staffing, gross margin, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
• Follow up with project managers to adjust estimates and ensure accurate reporting.
• Identify and resolve invoicing issues related to POs, collections, and billing.
• Project Setup & Operations
• Proactively set up projects in the system and assign resources appropriately.
• Define and maintain assignment groups, build and assign rate cards.
  
• Review contracts to determine billing milestones and add project tasks.
• Ensure correct task naming for accurate time and expense booking.
• Train resources on time and expense entry, and follow up on pass-through expenses.
• Accounting & Revenue Recognition
• Perform basic accounting, including calculation of deferred or unbilled positions.
• Understand and apply journal entries for revenue recognition and invoice payments.
• Support revenue accounting by recognizing revenue on fixed-price projects and T&M projects.
• Utilization & Reporting
• Generate utilization reports and partner with project managers to determine staffing needs.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of project accounting principles.
• Advanced Excel skills.

  Get Hired
• Experience with revenue recognition concepts, especially fixed-price projects.
• Excellent communication skills in English (mandatory).
• Smart, proactive, and dependable team player.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  

Preferred:

• Prior experience in project accounting with exposure to international projects.
• Knowledge of ERP tools such as OpenAir, NetSuite, or similar.
