Sr. Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

Position : Sr. Manager – Factory

Reports To : HOD Projects

Summary: Lead and manage all factory operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective production while meeting quality, delivery, and continuous improvement targets. Drive people leadership, operational excellence, and compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee day-to-day activities, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet project plans and customer delivery requirements.

1. Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Stores Team to plan fabrication / assembly works, ensuring alignment with project goals and schedules.

1. Maintain a safe workplace according to legal standards and foster a culture of attention to health and safety.

1. Maintain proper record of free-issue materials handed-over to Sub-Contractors.

1. Responsible and accountable for shop organization, material storage, cleanliness, and quality.

1. Scheduling the maintenance of building and equipment as needed.

1. Ensure compliance to statutory and regulatory requirements.

1. Prepare and submit weekly / monthly report for management review.

1. Co-ordinating / liasioning with the various government agencies to obtain different licenses / statutory certificates, including renewal of factory license under Factories Act.

Requirements:

1. Good educational background, preferably in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with minimum 15+ years of related work experience managing factory & shop-floor.
2. Well versed with engineering and construction drawings.
3. Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, quality systems, health & safety, and maintenance practices.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently present direction and influence teams, management, and external partners.
