About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager – Litigation to manage and oversee litigation matters arising across the business. The role involves handling legal disputes related to land acquisition, property transactions, customer matters, regulatory compliances, and other real estate-related issues. The ideal candidate should have strong exposure to the real estate sector, sound knowledge of RERA and property laws, and experience coordinating with external legal counsels and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle litigation matters relating to land, property, customer disputes, contractual issues, regulatory matters, and other real estate-related cases.
• Coordinate with external legal counsels for drafting, filing, appearances, and effective management of ongoing litigation.
• Monitor and track all litigation matters to ensure timely filings, hearings, compliance, and closure.
• Prepare, review, and maintain legal documentation, pleadings, notices, replies, affidavits, and case summaries.
• Provide legal advice to internal stakeholders on litigation risks and dispute resolution strategies.
• Represent the legal function in discussions with business teams and assist in resolving legal issues through negotiation and settlement wherever feasible.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, including RERA, Transfer of Property Act, Registration Act, Maharashtra land laws, and other relevant real estate regulations.
• Liaise with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and statutory departments for litigation-related matters.
• Conduct legal research and provide updates on changes in laws, judicial precedents, and regulatory developments impacting the business.
• Maintain accurate records of legal cases, documentation, and litigation status reports for management review.
• Support the legal team on other legal and compliance matters as required.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelors Degree in Law (LL.B.); LL.M. is an added advantage.
• 4+ years of post-qualification experience in litigation, preferably with a real estate developer, law firm, or infrastructure company.
• Strong understanding of RERA, property laws, land laws, contract law, and civil litigation.
• Experience in handling disputes related to land acquisition, customer complaints, regulatory authorities, and real estate transactions.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with external advocates, government authorities, and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent drafting, legal research, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple litigation matters simultaneously while meeting strict timelines.
