AICTE-funded Research Promotion Scheme (Lab to Market) project at the School of Computer Science & Information Technology, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Bengaluru.

Project Title: IoT-Integrated Smart Farming and Micro-Processing for Tomato and Ragi in Malur,

Karnataka.

Funding Agency: All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), under the Research Promotion

Scheme (Lab to Market).

Project Duration: 3 years.

Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Location: School of Computer Science & Information Technology, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), #44/4, District Fund Road, Behind Big Bazaar, 9th Block, Jayanagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka – 560041.

Essential Qualifications

• M.Sc. in Computer Science, Electronics, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Agricultural Sciences or Food
• Science; OR B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech. In ECE, EEE, CSE, IT, Instrumentation, Agricultural Engineering or
• Food Technology; OR BCA Honours / Honours with Research; OR MCA.
• Minimum 55% marks.
• A valid CSIR-UGC NET / GATE score or equivalent national-level examination is required.
• Desirable Skills and Requirements
• Knowledge of IoT and embedded systems, including STM32, Raspberry Pi and LoRa.
• Exposure to machine learning / edge AI and application development.
• Willingness to undertake fieldwork in Kolar district; knowledge of Kannada is desirable.

Fellowship and Tenure

• Fellowship: 37,000 per month plus HRA, as per DST norms.
• Initial tenure: 12 months, extendable by up to 9 months based on satisfactory performance; maximum
• tenure of 21 months.
