Duties:

As a Mechanical Engineer Level II, He is responsible for creating 3D models, 3D assemblies and detailed drawings of the Sheet Metal parts using SolidWorks CAD software. He is responsible for creating the GA drawings of various assemblies and the quality output. As Mechanical Engineer Level II, He will be creating the issues logs and communicate to the client. Ability to create BOM in ERP environment and should have good working experience on the ECN / ECR and release process.

• Responsibilities:
• Understand price books / vendor specifications and define necessary logics to build variants.
• Create variants charts in excel format with applicable accessories and upfits for custom truck configurations.
• Define and attribute applicable accessories and equipment supporting standard truck offerings.
• Perform quality checks on engineering attributions and deliverables.
• Prepare and maintain quality and rework trackers for audit and traceability purposes.
• Maintain internal trackers for project progress, engineering quality, and reporting.
• Prepare fitment 3D CAD virtual validation reports for newly introduced parts and assemblies.
• Support DriveWorks tool, Estimation and Custom designed teams in resolving the issues related to the upfit and fitments.
• Work independently on the change management by creating the ECO from with the necessary parts deletion, replacement and additions.
• Coordinate with US engineering teams and clarify technical questions and resolve design issues.
• Work closely with India engineering teams to monitor project timelines and deliverables.
• Support management by preparing required technical and performance reports.
• Qualifications
• Mechanical Engineer with 8 – 12 years of experience.
• 5+ years of experience working with custom designed work trucks.
• Knowledge and working experience using configurator will be advantage.
• SolidWorks PDM knowledge is essential.
• Knowledge of compressors, Electrical parts and other equipment is must.
• Excellent in Excel, Word and Power point.
• Good communication skills, ability to read write.
• English Proficiency: Excellent written and oral Communication is required.
