What role will you play in the team

You will play a pivotal role in our elite investment banking advisory division based in Mumbai, acting as the primary quantitative engine for live deal pipelines. Your core mandate involves synthesizing complex financial statements, constructing rigorous discounted cash flow models, and supporting senior dealmakers in executing high-stakes cross-border mergers and acquisitions within the Indian subcontinent and international markets.

What you will do

Your day-to-day operations will center around building and stress-testing comprehensive financial models from scratch using advanced Excel macros, Bloomberg Terminal data feeds, and Capital IQ analytics. You will spearhead the preparation of confidential information memoranda, pitch books, and detailed valuation decks, ensuring absolute accuracy while interacting directly with private equity sponsors, corporate development heads, and institutional investors during live deal roadshows.

Key responsibility

• Develop and maintain complex DCF, LBO, and Comparable Company Analysis models to evaluate target acquisitions, divestitures, and capital raising opportunities.
• Extract, clean, and analyze historical financial data and macroeconomic indicators utilizing Bloomberg Terminal and Capital IQ platforms.
• Draft comprehensive pitch books, teaser documents, and board presentation materials for prospective M&A advisory clients.
• Coordinate seamlessly with legal, tax, and accounting due diligence teams to streamline transaction closure timelines.
• Conduct exhaustive sensitivity and scenario analyses to ascertain target valuation bands under varying market conditions.
  
• Participate actively in client meetings, management presentations, and valuation defense workshops alongside vice presidents and managing directors.
• Maintain proprietary deal tracking databases and monitor secondary market trading multiples for sector-specific peer groups.

Required Qualification and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related quantitative discipline from a tier-1 academic institution.
• Demonstrated proficiency in executing Valuation Techniques, DCF modeling, and LBO mechanics under tight corporate deadlines.
• Advanced technical command over Microsoft Excel, including VBA, macros, dynamic charting, and financial formula structuring.
• Hands-on operational experience with financial data terminals such as Bloomberg Terminal, Capital IQ, and PitchBook.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills tailored for executive-level corporate presentations.
• Strong analytical aptitude with meticulous attention to detail regarding accounting adjustments and financial statement reconciliation.
• Foundational understanding of capital markets regulatory frameworks, SEBI guidelines, and corporate governance norms.
