Junior Strategic Consulting Analyst (Financial Services Focus)
Job Description
What role will you play in the team?
As a Junior Strategic Consulting Analyst, you will be a key contributor to project teams, supporting senior consultants in delivering data-driven solutions to our financial services clients. Your primary focus will be on financial modeling, data analysis, and market research to identify strategic opportunities and improve operational efficiency.
What you will do?
You will assist in the development of financial models, conduct market research, analyze data sets to identify trends and insights. You will be involved in presentation creation and support project managers with administrative tasks.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis using Excel and VBA to develop financial models and projections.
- Gather and analyze market data using tools like Nielsen and proprietary databases to identify market trends and opportunities.
- Assist in the development of presentations and reports summarizing findings and recommendations for clients.
- Support project managers in coordinating project activities, tracking progress, and managing project timelines.
- Contribute to the development of new methodologies and tools for strategic consulting engagements.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and presentations for new business development opportunities.
- Perform data validation and quality control to ensure accuracy and reliability of findings.
- Collaborate with team members to brainstorm ideas and develop innovative solutions for clients.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the financial services industry and related trends.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations to gather information and present findings.
Required Qualification and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and VBA for financial modeling and data analysis.
- Experience with market research tools and databases such as Nielsen.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with financial services industry concepts and trends.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques.
- Certification in Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst (FMVA) is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
