What role will you play in the team

As an integral member of our private equity investment group, you will function as a core quantitative engine for evaluating prospective buyout opportunities and monitoring portfolio company performance. Your primary focus will be designing intricate financial models, executing rigorous valuation exercises, and delivering actionable investment recommendations that drive our deployment strategy across high-growth domestic sectors.

What you will do

You will immerse yourself in analyzing target financial statements, constructing robust discounted cash flow models, and performing multi-scenario sensitivity analyses. Your responsibilities include drafting detailed investment memoranda, conducting thorough due diligence investigations, and tracking portfolio health metrics using advanced financial databases to support senior investment committee decisions.

Key responsibility

• Build dynamic, error-free discounted cash flow and leveraged buyout financial models from scratch to evaluate target investment returns under varying exit scenarios.
• Execute rigorous valuation techniques including comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, and asset-based appraisals for potential acquisition targets.
• Extract, clean, and analyze granular financial and operational datasets using FactSet, Bloomberg Terminal, and Capital IQ platforms.
• Draft comprehensive investment theses, risk assessment matrices, and executive briefing notes for presentation to the investment committee.
• Collaborate with portfolio company management teams to audit historical financial performance and forecast future cash flow trajectories.
• Conduct thorough industry and competitive landscape mapping using specialized research databases like PitchBook to uncover proprietary deal flow.

Required Qualification and Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Quantitative Economics, or Financial Engineering from a premier academic institution.
• Expertise in advanced valuation techniques, DCF modeling, LBO structuring, and comprehensive financial statement analysis.
• Proficiency in utilizing Bloomberg Terminal, FactSet, Capital IQ, and Excel Macros & VBA for automated financial modeling.
• Demonstrated analytical acumen with an exceptional eye for detail and uncompromising commitment to data accuracy.
• Solid understanding of private equity deal lifecycles, capital structures, and term sheet mechanics.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills suited for interacting with senior management and external advisors.

A Day in the Life
