Private Equity Venture Capital Due Diligence And Deal Sourcing Associate

What role will you play in the team

You will serve as an integral engine room member of our Private Equity and Venture Capital investment team located in Jaipur. Your focus will center on identifying high-potential early-stage and growth-stage startups, conducting exhaustive primary and secondary market research, and executing meticulous commercial due diligence to power our next generation of venture investments.

What you will do

You will actively scan the entrepreneurial ecosystem, screen incoming pitch decks, and build robust proprietary deal pipelines across emerging technology and consumer sectors. You will author comprehensive investment memos, evaluate founder backgrounds, and model unit economics. Furthermore, you will participate in management interviews and construct detailed valuation benchmarks to support investment committee decisions.

Key responsibility

• Source and evaluate early-stage investment opportunities by leveraging PitchBook and proprietary market intelligence databases.
• Perform rigorous financial analysis and historical performance audits of target companies using FactSet and Capital IQ.
• Build detailed Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) and Leveraged Buyout (LBO) models to evaluate target company returns under various exit scenarios.
• Conduct primary market research, customer surveys, and competitor mapping to validate Total Addressable Market (TAM) claims made by founders.
• Draft thorough investment memos, risk assessments, and executive summaries for review by the General Partners and Investment Committee.
• Assist portfolio operations teams in tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and preparing quarterly investor reporting packages.

Required Qualification and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Commerce, or Economics from a top-tier university.
• Extensive hands-on experience with PitchBook, FactSet, Capital IQ, and foundational DCF/LBO modeling.
• Deep understanding of venture capital financing terms, cap tables, liquidation preferences, and convertible instruments.
• 1-2 years of targeted experience in private equity, venture capital, management consulting, or startup investment banking.
• Strong quantitative aptitude paired with exceptional qualitative synthesis and presentation design capabilities.
• Unwavering attention to detail and high ethical standards when handling confidential term sheets and proprietary startup data.

After lunch, you conduct reference checks with former clients of a target company and spend your afternoon drafting a comprehensive investment memo for the upcoming weekly partner meeting.
