Job Description
You will serve as an integral member of our Private Equity and Venture Capital investment team located in Nagpur, evaluating early-stage and growth-stage investment opportunities, conducting deep-dive market research, and supporting the portfolio management lifecycle through quantitative analytics.
What you will do
You will screen inbound investment teasers, perform venture screening utilizing PitchBook and Dealogic, formulate financial evaluation scorecards, and track key operational metrics across our existing portfolio companies to maximize venture capital investment returns.
Key responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive screening and preliminary evaluation of inbound startup investment pitches.
- Leverage PitchBook and Dealogic platforms to map venture capital funding trends and competitor landscapes.
- Build detailed cap tables, valuation matrices, and financial projections for prospective portfolio targets.
- Prepare investment memorandum documents summarizing due diligence findings for the investment committee.
- Monitor post-investment portfolio performance indicators, growth trajectories, and financial burn rates.
- Assist in organizing founder pitch sessions, due diligence Q&A sessions, and investor networking events.
Required Qualification and Skills
- Hold a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Financial Engineering, or a rigorous analytical field.
- Bring 1-2 years of relevant professional experience within private equity, venture capital, or startup strategy.
- Master advanced financial analysis, valuation techniques, and capitalization table modeling.
- Possess strong working knowledge of PitchBook, Dealogic, and Eikon market intelligence software.
- Demonstrate excellent analytical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and rigorous quantitative problem-solving abilities.
- Showcase the ability to manage multiple concurrent deal evaluation streams under tight deadlines.
