Tech Lead

Role Overview

We are looking for a Tech Lead to lead engineering delivery from early discovery and technical design through development, deployment, and production support. The ideal candidate will have strong full stack development experience, expertise in Python and React, and hands on experience building AI enabled applications. This role involves guiding engineers, making technical decisions, ensuring code quality, and translating business requirements into scalable and maintainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead engineering delivery from early discovery and technical design through development, deployment, and production support.
2. Turn requirements and architecture into clear workstreams, estimates, dependencies, and ownership for the team.
3. Build quick proofs of concept where useful, then test, simplify, harden, and deliver successful ideas for production.
4. Design and build AI enabled capabilities such as RAG pipelines, agents, integrations, and workflow automation, ensuring performance and scalability.
5. Develop scalable backend services and APIs using frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
6. Guide the development of responsive frontend applications using React and TypeScript.
7. Set expectations for code reviews, testing, CI/CD, monitoring, security, performance, and production readiness.
8. Identify technical risks early and explain the available trade offs to project and client stakeholders.
9. Mentor engineers, support hiring and onboarding, and help the team improve its engineering practices.
10. Work closely with consulting teams and domain experts to translate business problems into solutions that can be delivered and supported.

Qualifications:

1. Experience and Qualifications

1. A bachelor s or master s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
2. 5 – 8 years of software engineering experience, including experience leading engineers or significant technical workstreams.
3. Strong full stack skills across backend services, API design, data modelling, and modern frontend development.
4. Advanced hands on experience with Python and React with TypeScript.
5. Experience taking AI enabled products from early concept to production.
6. Strong practical knowledge of RAG, embeddings, vector databases, prompt design, evaluation, and agentic systems.

2. Technical Depth

1. Azure and AWS services used for application, data, identity, AI, networking, and monitoring.
2. AI orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph and Semantic Kernel, LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar tools.
3. LLMOps, evaluation, tracing, quality measurement, guardrails, and AI observability.
4. Containers, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, secrets management, authentication, authorization, and secure development.
5. Distributed systems, queues, caching, failure handling, performance tuning, and cost management.
6. AI assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code, used with sound engineering judgement.
