Elevator Technician/ Junior Engineer

Job Summary:

The Lift Technician is responsible for installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of elevator/lift systems to ensure safe and smooth operation. The role requires technical expertise, adherence to safety standards, and timely customer support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, test, and commission lift/elevator systems at project sites.
  
• Perform preventive maintenance as per schedule.
  
• Attend breakdown calls and ensure timely fault rectification.
  
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues in lift systems.
  
• Conduct routine safety inspections and ensure compliance with statutory norms.
  
• Maintain service reports, job cards, and maintenance records.
  
• Coordinate with customers at site for service updates.
  
• Support AMC activities and ensure high service quality.
  
• Assist senior technicians or engineers during major repairs and modernization work.
  

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Knowledge of lift components (controller, ARD, traction machine, door operator, COP/LOP panels).
  
• Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
  
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
  
• Basic understanding of safety standards in elevator industry.
  
• Good communication and customer-handling skills.
  
• Willingness to travel within assigned area.
  

Qualifications:

• ITI / Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  
• 15 years of experience in lift installation or maintenance.
