Role Description The Accounting Intern will support the finance team in managing day-to-day accounting operations in a full-time, on-site role based in Noida. Responsibilities include assisting with the preparation and review of financial statements, entering and maintaining accurate journal entries, and helping reconcile accounts. The intern will work with accounting software to record transactions, organize financial data, and support basic reporting needs. Additional tasks may include supporting audits, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with other departments to ensure timely and accurate financial information. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in a fast-paced media environment and exposure to the financial processes behind an independent journalism platform.

• Odoo Bookkeeping & Data Entry: Accurately record daily financial transactions — accounts payable, accounts receivable, vendor bills, customer invoices, and expense vouchers — into the Odoo Accounting module.
• Voucher Management: Maintain and organise cash vouchers, bank slips, purchase orders, and payment records.
• Bank & Ledger Reconciliation: Assist in monthly bank statement reconciliations and periodic ledger balancing within Odoo.
• Taxation & Compliance Support: Assist the senior finance team with data compilation for GST filing, TDS deductions, and other basic compliance schedules.
• Vendor & Client Coordination: Coordinate with vendors and team leads for timely bill generation, invoice validation, and payment follow-ups.

  Financial Reporting: Help prepare basic weekly and monthly summary reports (cash flow updates, pending receivables/payables) using Odoo analytics.
• Education: Bachelors degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field (B.Com, BBA-Finance, or pursuing CA Inter).
• Technical Proficiency: Prior hands-on experience or practical knowledge of Odoo ERP (Accounting/Invoicing module) is mandatory. Basic Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) are required.
• Core Accounting Knowledge: Strong grasp of fundamental accounting principles — debit/credit rules, ledger posting, GST, and TDS basics.
• Availability: Must be available for full-time, in-office work at our Noida location.
