Senior Engineer - Quality Control (L&T Valves)

Role & responsibilities

• Product Inspection, Testing and Final Product acceptance as per customer requirement
• Non-Destructive Evaluation and Qualification at various stages of mfg.
• Control of Non-Conforming Products
• Corrective and Preventive Actions thro investigation, analysis, and audits
• Vendor Evaluation, Re-evaluation, and approval (Subcontract and Bought Out components)
• Organize Quality Documentation as per ITP/Internal Procedure requirements

• Co-ordinate Second Party Inspection agencies and organize inspection at supplier end as per TDC / Drawing / ITP
• Auditing of Processes and Products
• Analysis of customer complaints for product and process improvements
• Updating, as necessary, of Quality Control Inspection and Testing techniques including the development of new instrumentation
• Initiating action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to the product, process and Quality System and recommending solutions through designated channels
• Maintaining Product Identification, Traceability, and status
• Identifying Training needs
• Implementation of Quality Objectives and Continual Improvement

• Experience in Valve Industry
• Exposure in Foundry, Forge Shop processes
• Exposure in ASTM/ASME codes and standards
• Exposure in Welding Processes (SMAW, PTAW, SAW, TIG Processes)
• SAP R3 Exposure in Quality Control Module
• Should possess excellent communication skills
