Manual QA Engineer

About the Role
The Manual QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality in our software products through the execution of manual test cases, defect identification, and issue resolution.
Responsibilities
• Test Planning & Execution:
• Develop and execute comprehensive test cases for both manual and automated testing.
• Perform thorough regression, functional, and exploratory testing of fintech applications.
• Automation Development:
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, or similar).
• Integrate automated tests within the CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous quality.
• Defect Management:
• Identify, document, and track software defects using defect tracking tools.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Collaboration & Communication:
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and business analysts to clarify requirements and validate test coverage.
• Provide clear and concise test reports and status updates.
• Quality Assurance & Compliance:
• Ensure that applications meet quality standards and adhere to financial regulations.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and best practices.
• Industry Insight:
• Stay updated on fintech trends and VC investment dynamics to better understand the business context and requirements.
Requirements
• 2-3 years of experience in QA, including manual and automation testing, preferably within the fintech or financial services industry.
• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
• Proficiency in designing and executing detailed test cases.
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
• Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools ( JIRA, X-Ray).
• Basic understanding of Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with programming/scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript is a plus.
• Solid understanding of finance principles, particularly in a VC-based fintech context.
• Awareness of relevant financial regulations and compliance standards is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Certifications like ISTQB or an equivalent - Advantage
• Experience in working with CI/CD tools like Jenkins - Advantage
• Familiarity with automated testing tools such as Selenium - Advantage
