Manager - Compliance

The successful candidate will have to be a qualified lawyer with at least 7 years PQE with a proven track record of reviewing and negotiating a variety of IT agreements in the business to business area such as frame agreements for the provision of IT services outsourcing agreements software licensing agreements and cloud or agreements relating to AI not using your own standard templates but working on client provided terms Preferably you have worked already as inhouse counsel in a larger company or law firm in a similar function You will have end to end responsibility for closing the legal part of deals with our clients interacting closely with our business teams and other corporate functions You will be part of our legal team responsible for commercial contracting in Europe and South Africa and report to our head legal for Europe With some understanding of the nature of our business you should be able to determine the risks in contracts and find good solutions balancing the risks with the ability to win deals in a competitive environment You should like working in teams and to communicate with your colleagues peers and client teams Change is a constant in IT service companies so you should like to learn something new and adopt to new structures Some background or past experience in civil law is a plus but not strictly required The majority of the work will be in civil law Some travel may be required but is not happening on a regular basis
