Role Description The Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting activities, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and preparing financial statements. Responsibilities include handling accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, invoicing, and monitoring cash flows to support ongoing engineering projects. The role will also involve assisting with tax compliance, preparing supporting documentation for audits, and ensuring adherence to accounting standards and internal policies. The Accountant will collaborate with management to provide financial data, reports, and analysis for budgeting and cost control. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Patna.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping practices, and financial reporting standards.
• Experience with accounting software and MS Office applications, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Ability to manage accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries with attention to detail.
• Understanding of tax regulations, statutory compliance, and preparation of supporting documentation for audits.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data for management decisions.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with project and operations teams.
• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA Inter, CMA Inter) are an advantage.
• Prior experience in an engineering, construction, or project-based organization is beneficial.
