Manager, Business Development

Overview
M42 is looking for a Manager, Business Development – Environmental Sciences is responsible for driving M42’s growth in environmental and marine ecosystem monitoring. This role focuses on identifying new market opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and leveraging innovative technologies like AI and genomic sequencing for predictive wastewater surveillance and industrial environmental solutions. The successful candidate will develop and execute business strategies, collaborate with industry leaders, and contribute to M42’s mission of sustainability and environmental impact.
Responsibilities

• Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with M42’s environmental sciences objectives.
• Identify and establish partnerships with government agencies, environmental organizations, and industry stakeholders.
• Lead negotiations for joint ventures, collaborations, and funding opportunities.
  
• Oversee innovation in environmental services, including wastewater and marine conservation solutions.
• Drive market expansion efforts and revenue-generating opportunities in environmental monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Environmental Sciences, Marine Biology, Sustainability, or a related field.
• Experience: 5-7 years in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships, preferably in environmental sciences, marine conservation, or technology sectors.
• Skills:
• Strong business development and strategic planning abilities.
• Expertise in partnership management and stakeholder engagement.
• Proficiency in market research and competitive analysis.
• Understanding of AI and genomic sequencing applications in environmental sciences.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
