About The Opportunity
A leadership opening in the private tertiary-care multispecialty hospital sector, serving acute, emergency and specialty patients in Himachal Pradesh. This on-site role will lead clinical operations, quality, and regulatory compliance for a Fortis hospital location, driving high standards of care across departments.
Role & Responsibilities

• Provide visible clinical leadership: oversee day-to-day clinical operations and ensure consistent delivery of evidence-based patient care across departments.
• Establish and maintain clinical governance: lead morbidity & mortality reviews, clinical audits, and structured quality-improvement initiatives to reduce adverse events.
• Drive regulatory compliance and accreditation readiness: implement and monitor NABH standards, state health regulations, and medico-legal reporting processes.
• Manage medical workforce and development: recruit, appraise, mentor, and coordinate continuing medical education, specialty coverage, and on-call rosters.
• Improve operational performance: collaborate with hospital administration to optimise bed management, clinical pathways, patient flow, and resource utilisation.
• Lead patient-safety and infection-control programmes: implement IPC protocols, incident investigations, root-cause analyses and corrective action plans.
  

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

• MBBS degree from a recognised medical college and active state medical council registration.
• Proven clinical leadership experience in a tertiary or multispecialty hospital with responsibility for departmental coordination and clinical governance.
• Experience in NABH accreditation processes and hospital quality systems.
• Strong knowledge of infection prevention & control, patient-safety frameworks and medico-legal processes.
• Operational experience with Hospital Information Systems (HIS) / EMR and clinical audit processes.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage conflict, and drive measurable quality outcomes.
  

Preferred

• Postgraduate qualification (MD/DNB) or diploma in Hospital Administration / MBA (Healthcare).
