Reporting to Director - Legal, the role would involve:
- Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and advising on a wide range of commercial and procurement contracts.
- Providing practical legal advice to business stakeholders on Indian laws and regulatory requirements.
- Supporting factory operations and corporate functions on day-to-day legal and compliance matters.
- Advising on labour and employment law issues, employee-related disputes, and workplace policies.
- Managing and mitigating legal risks across business operations.
- Coordinating with external counsels and consultants, where required.
- Assisting with leasing and real estate-related matters.
- Supporting dispute resolution matters, including engagement with external lawyers and occasional court appearances.
- Collaborating with regional and global stakeholders on cross-border legal matters and business initiatives.
- Monitoring regulatory developments and providing proactive legal guidance to the business.
The Ideal Candidate Would Be
- Qualified Lawyer with 6-12 years of post-qualification experience.
- Strong experience handling procurement, commercial contracts, and contract negotiations.
- Demonstrated experience advising on labour and employment law matters.

- Prior experience in the power, energy, manufacturing, infrastructure, industrial, or engineering sectors would be preferred, though applicants from other industries are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to engage confidently with international stakeholders and provide clear, commercially focused legal advice.
- Willingness to travel regionally for court visits and business requirements, when required.
- Tamil language proficiency would be an added advantage.
