Data Science Intern

Mico, which builds the conversational layer (LINE, SMS/RCS, Voice AI and web) that more than 5,500 Japanese brands use to reach customers, is hiring a Data Science Intern in Bengaluru. You will clean and analyse real-world datasets in Python, run exploratory analysis and hypothesis tests, and build and assess regression models with the team. The role is open to students currently pursuing or recently graduated in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field. The stipend is not disclosed.ResponsibilitiesCollect, clean, preprocess and analyse structured datasets using Python.Run exploratory data analysis to find patterns, trends and anomalies.Apply statistical techniques such as hypothesis testing, correlation analysis and regression.Build and assess linear and logistic regression models using suitable metrics.Handle missing values, outliers, categorical variables and imbalanced data.Perform feature engineering for analysis and modelling.Document findings and explain results and assumptions to the team.RequirementsCurrently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field.Basic to intermediate Python skills.Familiarity with Pandas, NumPy and Scikit-learn.Understanding of core statistics: mean, variance, correlation, hypothesis testing and p-values.Knowledge of linear and logistic regression and metrics such as R-squared, MAE, MSE and RMSE.BenefitsHands-on work with real-world datasets.Mentorship on Python, statistics and machine learning fundamentals.
