Our people are empowered with both independence and support: the autonomy to pursue ideas with conviction and the backing of a global network committed to collaboration, disciplined risk management and continuous learning. With opportunities to deepen expertise and accelerate development, talent at Millennium is equipped to adapt, evolve and build lasting impact over time. Discover how transformative growth accelerates impact.

Meet the Team

Compliance at Millennium is the function responsible for ensuring the firm and its employees follow regulatory requirements and internal policies. As a Compliance Analyst at Millennium, you will have the opportunity to work across the firm to coordinate the Vendor Management review process from a Compliance perspective, reviewing and compiling investigative research on potential vendors. You will work closely with Vendor Management, as well as Legal, Information Security and various business managers throughout the organization. You will also be expected to make use of the firm’s approved AI tools to make the review process faster and more consistent, while applying your own judgement to the conclusions you reach. This role is ideal for someone who is analytical, execution focused with a keen attention to detail, sharp and resourceful, and holds exacting standards.

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct detailed research on entities and/or individuals of interest.

  • Conduct thorough investigative research and review civil, criminal and bankruptcy proceedings, judgments, corporate records, regulatory actions, investigative media and other open-source records to discern regulatory and reputational risk.

  • Identify, mitigate and manage potential risks by providing the best intelligence available and potential solutions.

  • Use approved AI and automation tools to accelerate research, summarize source material and improve the consistency of reviews, with human verification of all output before it is relied upon.

  • Convey conclusions clearly and concisely in written and oral form.

  • When necessary, update internal partners on the progress of reviews.

  • Research and keep informed as to industry and regulatory developments. Maintain a high standard of accuracy and efficiency.

  • Undertake special compliance related projects as assigned.

What You Bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • 1-3 years’ experience as an investigator or compliance professional in financial services, or working at a background check vendor supporting external clients.

  • Must be detail oriented and organized, with a solid sense for discretionary escalation, and able to work independently.

  • Ability to summarize and communicate updates and important findings throughout the assessment and decision-making process.

  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability and willingness to work flexibly and under pressure, and to prioritize accordingly to meet competing deadlines.

  • Experience using World-Check, Dow Jones, Factiva, LexisNexis, CourtLink and other similar databases.

  • Exposure to AI tools, and a demonstrated interest in applying them to compliance workflows such as vendor due diligence, document review, summarization and reporting, is preferred.

  • Sound judgement on the limitations of AI output, including a clear understanding of when human verification and escalation are required.
