Role Description The Senior Merchandiser will oversee product assortments, pricing, and merchandising strategies for Mittal Home Fashions bathmats and rugs within the New York City Metropolitan Area. This full-time, on-site role involves coordinating with design, production, and sales teams to align product offerings with market trends and customer preferences, ensuring collections are commercially strong and brand-consistent. The Senior Merchandiser will analyze sales performance, manage inventory levels, and prepare regular reports and forecasts to support decision-making. Daily responsibilities include liaising with key retail partners, presenting product lines, gathering market feedback, and supporting promotional and visual merchandising initiatives to drive sales growth and brand visibility.

Qualifications

• Strong Communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and retail partners, and to present product concepts and merchandising plans clearly.
• Customer Service and Sales skills to build relationships with buyers, understand customer needs, and convert opportunities into revenue.
• Retail and Marketing experience to optimize product placement, support promotional activities, and ensure merchandising strategies align with brand positioning.
• Proficiency in merchandising planning, inventory management, and sales analysis, including the use of spreadsheets and relevant software tools.
• Experience in textiles, home fashion, or related consumer goods is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in the New York City Metropolitan Area and manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelors degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
