Institutional Securities Technology (IST) develops and oversees the overall technology strategy and bespoke technology solutions to drive and enable the institutional businesses and enterprise-wide functions. Our clients include Fixed Income, Equities, Commodities, Investment Banking, Research and Global Capital Markets.
Position Description
We are looking for a Production Support leader to join the Client Reference Data team that is a global team across India and Montreal (30 employees)

Responsibilities
On a typical day, a Production Support lead will primarily be responsible for managing the client reference data team to ensure we are providing the expected service to our clients thru proactive system alerts, incident management, problem management and user escalations/tickets via ServiceNow.
You will use your expertise to tune and push our systems beyond their normal limit.
You will troubleshoot issues across the entire stack: hardware, software, application and network.
Represent the team at the senior mgmt calls with Clients across CRDS and CORS
Manage our stakeholder meetings with development and users in the monthly governance calls and prepare the material for this
Identify areas for improvement across the team and help build up the team knowledge and support
You will identify and drive opportunities to improve automation for the company; scope and create automation for deployment, management and visibility of our services.
You will lead SRE improvements towards the stability of the plant.
Represent the Reliability & Production Support (RPE) organization in application design reviews and operational readiness exercises for new and existing services.
Operate on a follow-the-sun support model, with global production support coverage in Asia, EMEA and North America. You will participate in weekend and off hours on-call rotation, and be point of escalation during critical incidents
Ensure the global team(35 employees) is working together and following consistent procedures and practices
Be point of escalation for other ARD SFT team in Bangalore as senior represtattive (20+ employees)
QUALIFICATIONS
Skills Required:
Managing a team of 20+ for 3 years or more
Excellent and confident communicator to manage the multiple clients facing meetings/calls
Expert level knowledge in SQL server, Sybase and DB2

Bachelor's in computer science, Computer Engineering or related technology field
1 to 3 years practical experience in Production support or similar role.
Knowledge of ITIL Principles is a must,
Knowledge in SDLC is a must
Knowledge in Agile development practices is a must
Knowledge of Finance to communicate effectively with business clients as well as internal/external stakeholders.
Knowledge of UNIX/LINUX operating system level concepts such as processes, memory allocation, and the network stack and commands.
Must be hands-on in PL/SQL, Shell Scripting, Python, Perl, Cobol, JavaScript
Knowledge in scheduling tools such as AutoSys, Crontab, Control-M
Must thrive in a high-pressure environment and enjoy working on new challenges.
Working knowledge of SRE/Observability
Managing client and Senior IT audience in forums
Skills Desired:
Knowledge and experience in the banking industry.
Experience in SRE principles
Experience with source code and binary repositories, build tools, and CI/CD (Git, Artifactory, Jenkins, Docker) etc. and data streaming technologies like Spark, Kafka etc.
Any experience on automation/configuration management systems like Puppet, Chef, Ansible is an advantage.
Hands on experience on enterprise tools set such as Grafana, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, and BMC etc.
Experience in software development: automation-related experience valued in particular. Scripting languages such as bash, python, ruby, or compiled languages such as C, C#, JAVA, Scala and Go are most relevant but others are acceptable.
Awareness of, and ability to reason about modern software & systems architectures, including load-balancing, queueing, caching, distributed systems failure modes generally, micro services, and so on.
Practical experience running large-scale online systems is always an advantage. Certification would be a plus
Experience in Cloud / Distributed computing technology or certification is a plus
