Job Description
- As a passionate Director of DevOps Engineering at Nasdaq Technology, your role will involve leading a team of high-performing DevOps engineers in Mumbai, India, who support real-time mission-critical applications for the Nasdaq internal markets. Your focus on innovation and effectiveness will be crucial in this dynamic environment where you will have the opportunity to contribute to technical implementations for critical data solutions in financial markets globally.
**Roles & Responsibilities:**
- Build and manage a new team of DevOps engineers to provide support during US night hours for Market Platform applications operating on a 24-hour schedule.
- Lead your team to become subject matter experts (SMEs) through training and collaboration with current application owners.
- Enhance operational documentation, monitoring, alerting capabilities, and standardize processes for supported applications.
- Establish relationships with support teams, study support SLAs, and manage resources effectively.
- Review team and individual performance data, monitor productivity, and develop high-performing teams.
- Mentor team members in DevOps and software engineering skills, testing, and customizing software solutions.
- Stay updated on technology trends and industry landscape to incorporate into solution designs.
**Qualification Required:**
- At least 10 years of technical DevOps expertise supporting, operating, and developing distributed applications.
- Experience managing and monitoring AWS resources, proficiency in Linux commands, and hands-on experience in supporting applications.
- Good understanding of software development technical aspects, programming languages, frameworks, tools, methodologies, and best practices.
- Familiarity with Java, React JS, leadership skills, effective communication, growth mindset, and strategic vision.

- Master's degree or double degree in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent work experience.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- SaaS experience, React JS application development, AI application in monitoring and software development.
- Understanding of Data Lakes, Data Warehousing, CI/CD pipelines, and containers expertise (Docker and Kubernetes).
- Business knowledge in Options and Equity trading and back-office operations.
