Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Sous Chef to join our team in the Banquets department at Marriott International, Inc. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience in the hospitality industry.
- Assist the Executive Chef in planning and preparing menus for banquets and events.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of high-quality ingredients.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and preferences.
- Conduct menu costing and inventory management to optimize resources.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless execution of events.
- Maintain high standards of quality and presentation in food preparation and service.
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety protocols and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
- Culinary certification or relevant training is an asset.
