Tax Associate - Indirect Tax

What role you will play in team: You'll be part of a team handling indirect tax compliance for NEC India. You'll be involved in all aspects of indirect tax management, from ensuring accurate filing to providing insights to improve tax efficiency.

What you will do: You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant indirect tax laws and regulations in India, as well as supporting tax audits and investigations.

Key responsibility:

• Preparation and filing of GST returns.
• Managing input tax credit claims and reconciliation.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant state-level indirect taxes.
• Liaising with tax authorities on audits and assessments.
• Assisting in tax planning and optimization projects.
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of indirect tax policies and procedures.

Required Qualification and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in commerce, accounting, or a related field.
• 0-1 years experience in GST or indirect tax compliance.
• Strong understanding of the GST Act and related rules.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication skills.
