Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytically strong Assistant Manager/Manager to manage end-to-end HR operations for our organization, with a sharp focus on statutory compliance and HR analytics. The role owns the accuracy, timeliness, and audit-readiness of all statutory compliances, while also building data-driven insights that support workforce planning. The ideal candidate combines strong process discipline with the analytical rigor expected in a fast-paced, global-matrix environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of Onboarding and exit process.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee master data, personnel files, and records within the HRMS/HRIS.
  • Generate and issue HR letters (offer, confirmation, experience, relieving, etc.) through the HRMS with zero-error accuracy.
  • Administer attendance, leave, and shift management systems, and resolve related employee queries.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee queries relating to HR operations, payroll inputs, and compliance.
  • Support payroll processing by providing accurate and timely inputs (new joiners, exits, salary changes, deductions).
  • Drive process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement across HR operations workflows.

Statutory Compliance

  • Ensure 100% compliance with statutory requirements including PF, ESIC, Professional Tax (PT), Labour Welfare Fund (LWF), Gratuity, Bonus Act, and Shops & Establishment Act.
  • Manage timely statutory filings, returns, challans, and remittances, and maintain documentation for audit readiness.
  • Liaise with government authorities, labour law consultants, and statutory auditors for inspections, filings, and clarifications.
  • Monitor changes in labour law and statutory regulations (Central and State) and ensure policies/processes are updated accordingly.
  • Ensure compliance with POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) requirements, including Internal Committee coordination and reporting.
  • Support internal and external compliance audits and drive closure of audit observations within timelines.
  • Maintain statutory registers, notice boards, and other mandatory postings/records as required under applicable labour laws.
  • Mitigate compliance risk through robust controls, checklists, and periodic self-audits of HR processes.

HR Analytics & Reporting

  • Design, build, and maintain HR dashboards and MIS reports covering headcount, attrition, hiring, absenteeism, and compliance status.
  • Analyze workforce data to generate actionable insights for leadership on trends such as attrition drivers, engagement, and productivity.
  • Partner with business leaders and HRBPs to deliver data-backed recommendations for workforce planning and decision-making.
  • Track and report key HR metrics/KPIs (turnover rate, time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, compliance TAT, etc.) on a periodic basis.
  • Leverage HRMS, Excel, and BI tools (Power BI/Tableau) to automate recurring reports and improve data accuracy.
  • Support leadership reviews, board reporting, and global stakeholder reporting with reliable HR data.

Candidate Profile

Education

  • Bachelors degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field; MBA/PGDM in HR preferred.

Experience

  • 5–8 years of progressive experience in HR Operations, with a strong track record in statutory compliance and HR analytics.
  • Demonstrated experience managing PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, Gratuity, Bonus Act, and other applicable labour law compliances.
  • Experience building HR dashboards and reports using Excel and BI tools; knowledge of HRMS platforms (preferably Workday).

  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and ownership in handling sensitive employee and compliance data.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver within strict statutory/regulatory timelines.

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to work in a high-growth environment with exposure to global HR practices.
  • Collaborative, process-driven culture with strong emphasis on data and continuous improvement.
  • Competitive compensation, benefits, and career growth opportunities within HR Operations and Analytics.
