Nomura - Analyst - EMEA GM Sales Business Management Team
Job Description
Role & Responsibilities:
- We are seeking a dynamic individual to join the GM COO - Business Management team, based in Powai, partnering with the EMEA GM Sales Business Management team
- The individual will be joining an existing team of Business Managers based in Powai and work very closely with Business Managers based in Powai and off-shore in EMEA
- The individual will partner with Business Heads and Senior Management across Sales, and Trading to drive key business initiatives with a focus on client franchise growth, long term business expansion, and the overall strategy for the Sales Franchise in EMEA
- The individual will play a key role in liaising with Sales Heads and Sales teams in formulating, Client strategy, Client wallet sizing and Revenue pool trends for the EMEA Global Markets business.
- The individual will assume day-to-day responsibilities which will contribute towards business management, performance monitoring, managing infrastructure/ processes which support EMEA GM Sales
- The role provides significant exposure into Equities and Fixed Income Markets for Institutional and Corporate clients
- The role would require working with Global Market - Sales and Trading and with all the GM Corporate functions - Compliance, Treasury, Legal, Finance, Middle Office, IT and Product Control.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Business Analysis, and Management Presentations:
- Independently drive strategic initiatives with Sales/ Product Desk Heads using data-backed actionable insights
- Strategic assessment of outperforming/ underperforming businesses using client analytics and market/ business dynamics to suggest recommendations for business heads
- Prepare management presentations to summarize revenue, expenses, resource consumption and other management reporting metrics
- Prepare presentations for senior management board meetings, investor day, off-sites, town Halls
- Participate in annual sales budgeting exercise for the Regional and Global business by performing historical revenue analysis and bottom-up revenue forecasting
Stakeholder Management:
- Proactive in working with Regional COOs and Business Heads
- Concise and well-thought through communication with all stakeholders
- Strong sense of ownership and dedication towards timely deliverables
- Owning and Driving key business initiatives to achieve GM business objectives
- Setup appropriate infra and support systems to monitor progress
- Coordinate with various corporate functions to ensure seamless execution

Partnering with Technology, Operations, Finance, other corporate functions:
- Own day to day issues pertaining to various corporate functions and ensure closure
Control and Conduct:
- Owning Audit points and business continuity management (BCM) plan
Skills required:
- Prior experience of driving initiatives in Global Markets space and experience of working on cross-functional projects
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills; ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders at senior levels
- Ability to prioritize high volumes of deliverables across multiple disciplines working under pressure
- Strong Analytical and Problem-solving skills
- Good project management skills - planning, coordination/ execution, stakeholder mgmt.
- Good Knowledge of Capital Market products and asset classes (Fixed Income, Equities, Forex, Derivatives)
