Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Backend Engineer with expertise in building scalable backend systems and integrating AI capabilities into production applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Python, FastAPI, microservices, distributed systems, PostgreSQL, and modern LLM-based architectures such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). This role combines backend engineering, system architecture, AI integration, and technical leadership.

Key ResponsibilitiesBackend Development

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python and FastAPI.
• Build secure, high-performance REST APIs and microservices.
• Develop asynchronous and distributed backend systems for enterprise-scale applications.

AI & LLM Integration

• Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) into production applications.
• Build AI-powered solutions using RAG, Prompt Engineering, LangChain/LangGraph, embeddings, and vector databases.
• Optimize AI workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability.

Database & Performance

• Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases.
• Write efficient SQL queries and perform indexing, query tuning, and database optimization.
• Ensure data integrity, scalability, and high availability.

Cloud & DevOps

• Containerize and deploy applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment.
• Collaborate on cloud-native deployments across Azure, AWS, or GCP.

Technical Leadership

• Participate in architecture design and technical decision-making.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce engineering best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing across teams.
• Collaborate with Product, AI, and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

• 6–8+ years of backend development experience using Python.
• Strong hands-on experience with FastAPI.
• Expertise in:

• Strong understanding of system design, software architecture, scalability, and performance optimization.
• Experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, and conducting code reviews.

• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Knowledge of Snowflake, Kafka, or event-driven architectures.
• Exposure to MLOps, AI model deployment, and workflow orchestration platforms.
