Job Description
The Manufacturing Finance will lead the financial management, planning, and control activities for the manufacturing plant. This role is responsible for driving financial performance, ensuring robust internal controls, managing budgets, optimizing working capital, and partnering with cross-functional teams to support operational and strategic business decisions.
Financial Leadership & Control
- Lead and oversee the plants finance function, ensuring alignment with overall business and financial objectives.
- Establish, implement, and maintain financial systems, policies, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with corporate governance standards.
Budgeting & Performance Management
- Formulate annual budgets and forecasts in collaboration with operational teams.
- Conduct variance analysis to evaluate performance against budget and identify corrective measures for cost optimization and efficiency improvement.
Capex & Contract Management
- Review and evaluate Capex proposals, service contracts, and logistics agreements to ensure alignment with business requirements, financial viability, pricing justification, taxation compliance, and budget availability.
- Provide financial oversight and recommendations for strategic investments and vendor engagements.
Working Capital & Cost Management
- Drive initiatives to improve working capital utilization through inventory analysis and optimization.
- Monitor and manage product costing, cost control measures, and plant-level financial efficiencies.
Business Partnership & Decision Support
- Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, and procurement teams to provide financial insights for operational and strategic decision-making.
- Deliver ad-hoc analysis and business cases to support key manufacturing and supply chain initiatives.
Internal Controls & Compliance
- Implement and sustain a strong internal control framework within the plant to ensure financial integrity and compliance with corporate policies and statutory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost Accountant (ICWA).

- Minimum 10-15 years of relevant experience in senior finance leadership roles within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven expertise in product costing, plant finance, and financial planning & analysis.
- Strong exposure to ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Experience in the automotive sector; exposure to electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing will be an added advantage.
