Head - Sourcing - Vegetables

Role:

The role will be responsible for developing reliable supplier networks, ensuring quality and timely availability of raw materials, managing seasonal potato procurement, negotiating commercial terms, controlling procurement costs, and building a resilient supply base aligned with the organization's production and business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the annual and seasonal procurement strategy for processing-grade potatoes.
• Lead procurement of key commodities and ingredients such as Potato, seasonings, salt, additives, Packaging and other manufacturing inputs as applicable.
• Establish strong relationships with farmers, aggregators, traders, cold-storage operators, and potato suppliers.
• Ensure adequate availability of suitable potato varieties meeting chip manufacturing specifications.
• Plan procurement based on production requirements, seasonal availability, market conditions, and inventory levels.
• Negotiate potato prices, contracts, payment terms, logistics, and other commercial conditions.
• Develop alternate sourcing regions and suppliers to minimize supply and price risks.

Experience:

• 15 - 22 years of relevant experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, commodity procurement, or supply chain.
• Experience in FMCG, food processing, Vegetables (potato) Raw Materials, Agri Commodities will be preferred.
