Who are we looking for

We are looking for experienced Financial Modelling Consultants for a leading fintech company. This role is ideal for finance professionals who want to apply their expertise to real-world challenges in digital finance. You will build, review, and refine sophisticated models that translate messy source data and business realities into clear, defensible analytical frameworks. This is a fully remote role available on a full-time or part-time basis, forming part of the fintechs initiative to strengthen modelling standards.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Build detailed financial models from scratch across domains including Private Credit, Real Estate, Private Equity, Debt Capital Markets, Asset-Based Lending, Asset-Backed Securities, and Corporate Finance/FP&A.
• Review and enhance models developed by other experts, identifying weak assumptions, broken logic, missing schedules, and oversimplified analysis.
• Develop realistic scenarios, assumptions, and supporting materials, including revenue, cost, working capital, capex, debt, covenant, valuation, and sensitivity schedules.
• Transform incomplete or messy information into structured, high-integrity analytical outputs that directly impact investment decisions, credit assessments, risk management, and strategic planning.
• Clearly explain and defend modeling choices, logic, and key drivers to stakeholders.
• Contribute to the creation or improvement of modeling best practices, tests, case studies, or training materials where relevant.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 2–8+ years of hands-on, relevant finance experience with a proven track record of personally owning and building real financial models (not just template work or formatting).

  Get Hired
• Deep domain exposure in at least one of the following: private credit, credit, real estate, private equity, debt capital markets, risk, asset-based lending, asset-backed securities, quantitative finance, corporate finance/FP&A, investment banking, or valuation.
• Advanced Excel modeling skills and expert-level understanding of core finance concepts including cash flow, valuation, leverage, liquidity, capital structure, and domain-specific mechanics.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with ambiguous problems, messy data, and high-stakes analytical deliverables.
• Strong attention to detail combined with clear written and verbal English communication skills.
• Nice-to-have: Experience in debt, restructuring, commercial real estate, structured finance, or familiarity with AI tools, automation, and data workflows.

This is a fully remote opportunity available on a full-time basis. Projects are flexible with potential for ongoing engagement or extension based on performance and demand. Immediate or near-term start is preferred for strong candidates.
