PACCAR India is hiring a SystemEngineer (IC Engine Development Engineer) to support the Engine Integration team by providing data-driven insights, performance evaluation, and technical inputs to enable robust engine development, validation, and continuous improvement.
Job Function / Responsibilities
- Analyse engine test and vehicle data to evaluate performance, identify anomalies, and determine root causes of deviations.
- Develop, execute, and maintain structured test plans and documentation to support engine development and validation activities.
- Generate clear and concise technical reports summarizing test results, insights, and engineering recommendations.
- Design and implement automation solutions for data processing, analysis, and reporting to improve efficiency and consistency.
- B.E./M.Tech in either Mechatronics/Mechanical/Automobile
- 3-6 years of related experience
- Domain: Internal Combustion Engines Development, Automotive
- Primary Skill: Engine data acquisition systems (INCA, ETAS, ATI Vision, NI systems); engineering data analysis tools (MATLAB, Python, Excel)
- Strong understanding of diesel engine fundamentals, combustion processes, thermodynamics, and engine subsystems.
- Ability to interpret complex engine datasets (pressure, temperature, speed, emissions) and draw engineering conclusions.
- Proven capability in structured root cause analysis and problem solving.
- Knowledge of engine test cycles (EU, NA) and performance evaluation techniques.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional and global teams.
- Demonstrates ownership, analytical thinking, and continuous improvement mindset in engineering activities
- Secondary Skills: Requirement and test management tools (IBM DNG/DOORS, Quality Center).
