Senior Accountant

Job description:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or other applicable standards.
• Conduct thorough financial analysis, including cost analysis, revenue analysis, and trend analysis, to support strategic decision-making.
• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely completion of financial reports and reconciliations.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Collaborate with external tax professionals and internal teams to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations. Prepare and review tax returns.
• Facilitate internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Ensure adherence to audit standards.
• Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets. Evaluate and improve financial systems and processes for efficiency.
• Provide guidance and supervision to junior accounting staff. Conduct training sessions as needed.
• Advise management on financial decisions, cost reduction strategies, and financial implications of business activities.

Qualifications and Skills:

• B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of accounting experience (manufacturing experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
• Proficiency in Tally ERP / ERP systems and MS Excel.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and lead accounts team.
