Deputy Manager - Legal

Qualification - LL.B. from a recognized university (Graduates from National Law Schools / DU / ILS / Symbiosis preferred)

Role Overview :

The incumbent will support business growth across verticals, with a strong focus on corporate advisory, contract management, and risk mitigation. The role requires close collaboration with business, finance, product, and compliance teams, along with active involvement in structuring and executing business transactions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Draft, review, red-line, negotiate, and finalize commercial documents (including contracts, letters, proposals, and similar instruments), ensuring adequate risk mitigation and legal protection for the organization.

2. Address and resolve contractual issues arising in engagements with internal stakeholders, partners, service providers, and vendors.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (compliance, product, finance, and business teams) to implement special projects across business verticals in a timely manner.
4. Analyze business requirements, identify legal and commercial issues, and propose practical and implementable solutions.
5. Ensure adherence to internal legal frameworks, mandates, policies, and processes.
6. Provide end-to-end legal ownership and management of assigned business transactions.
7. Provide general corporate advisory support and assist the team in researching and assessing the legal viability of proposed business models under applicable laws.
8. Identify risks in existing agreements and assist in revising contract templates and legal processes for assigned business verticals.

1. 4+ years of experience in end-to-end contract management, with mandatory experience in both a law firm and an in-house legal team (start-up experience preferred).
2. Strong legal acumen with effective interpersonal skills to communicate and coordinate complex issues across diverse stakeholder groups and management levels.
3. Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver outcomes efficiently.
4. High attention to detail with strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
5. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
6. Proficiency in MS Word and MS Office tools.
