Principal Software Validation Engineer

As the Principal Software Quality and Test, you will lead a team of testers to achieve the team's testing goals efficiently. Your responsibilities will include identifying tests suitable for automation, defining the approach, creating reusable modules and scripts, and overseeing others in creating them. It is crucial for you to have a deep understanding of the project both technically and functionally, implementing the test approach outlined in the test plan documents. Your role will involve supporting customer validation activities to ensure successful validation of products and services within customer organizations. Additionally, you will contribute to enhancing the organization's capability for first-time-quality in a collaborative and adaptable environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage planning of system and acceptance tests, including software security testing, within development or integration projects/programs.
• Ensure integrity of testing and acceptance activities, coordinating their execution.
• Provide advice, guidance, and coaching on all aspects of test planning and execution.
• Define and communicate the test strategy for the project.
• Manage all test processes, including test plans, resources, costs, timescales, deliverables, and traceability.
• Manage client relationships regarding testing matters, identifying process improvements and contributing to corporate testing standards.
• Lead and implement comprehensive stakeholder management strategies and plans.
• Build strategic relationships with senior stakeholders, internally and externally.
• Provide advice and guidance to support the adoption of methods and tools, tailoring processes according to standards.
• Initiate and monitor actions to investigate and resolve problems in systems, processes, and services.
• Plan, organize, and conduct formal independent audits, evaluating compliance with organizational standards.
• Stay familiar with industry bodies of knowledge, actively seeking new knowledge for personal development and mentoring of others.
• Influence organization, customers, suppliers, partners, and peers on the contribution of own specialisms.

Qualifications Required:

• Good knowledge in medical imaging and DICOM, with hands-on experience in viewers like OHIF, MIM, and Mint.
• Hands-on experience in OHIF customizations testing and adopting AI models into functional and automation testing.
• Ability to develop test automation frameworks using Selenium, Playwright, and Tosca.
• Hands-on experience in scripting languages like C#, JavaScript, Java.
• Proficiency in automation code reviews and implementing the latest Software Testing trends.
• Experience in Performance testing and Security testing.
• Proven experience in leading or mentoring colleagues in software testing/validation.
• Familiarity with tools for communicating progress to Stakeholders.
• Experience coaching and mentoring junior colleagues and cross-functional peers.
• ISTQB Foundation or equivalent certification.
